Capacity Building and Development Unit draws its existence from the mission of ASK which is “to be a capacity building institution which enables CBO’s, intermediary organizations and corporate to achieve and sustain visible socio-economic development “
Perspective on Capacity Building
Capacity building for ASK is the outcome of well planned interventions carried out in a custom built and process oriented manner. For sustainable results and practical application of the capacity building interventions it is important that trainings are rooted in the local milieu, designed with sufficient scope of practical exercises and have the element of field exposure wherever possible. Also, the trainings need to be followed up with review and supplementary support if they have to bear fruit.
Core Belief
ASK believes in the vast latent human potential which it endeavors to develop through its capacity building efforts made by the training unit. The Capacity Building and Development Unit provides facilitation support to development organizations and their leadership, staff as well as the grassroots communities.
