CAPACITY BUILDING DIVISION

PARTICIPANT’S COMMENT AND FEEDBACK
SOME ENCOURAGEMENT

The methodology adopted by ASK has emphasized respect, rapport and a complete recognition of the social credibility and relevance of every trainee organization involved. Trainee organizations also vouched for this in the positive feedback they gave about ASK’s proposal and accessibility to meet their organizational needs.

The assimilation of learning occurred because of the synergy of the process: the meticulous attentions paid by ASK to the training methodology and in tailor making content, and the openness which trainee organizations demonstrated in the treating inputs as opportunities or new resources. The methodology emphasized conceptual clarity and allowed space for simulations during the training period. The engagements between the trainee organization and ASK seem to be far beyond training or even capacity building, rather they have really been a cause for organization building/ rebuilding

Comments by the independent evaluation team on the capacity building project involving six NGOs.

  1. There is coherence and a clear end relationship. I like your facilitation. You bring us down to earth. Realized the struggle of partner organizations –Jan Nielen, Project Officer, Cordaid (Participated in training on RBM)
  2. The shift from Women in Development (WID) to Gender & Development (GAD) was well understood. The tools for gender sensitivity awareness were valuable. This will help to implement the program in a more gender oriented manner. - Comment of participants undergoing gender training under the GAD project in UKSVK.
  3. Good facilitation by the trainer, excellent understanding of the subject matter, confident and well prepared. This is the best training received so far, and as the training proceeded the concepts were becoming more clear. -Comments of a participant / staff of Sahbhagi Shiksha Kendra, U.P.
  4. Now our trainings have become participatory because of frequent use o participatory methodology. Our capability to form good module has also improved. However the fundamental change is that earlier we used a lot of jargons, thinking it will make the training good but now understand that simple training is the best.- Trainers of a training institute after receiving series of training of trainers.
