PREPARATION OF RAP
The Division also facilitates the formulation of RP for the people affected by involuntary resettlement projects. An RP is a comprehensive framework detailing the project and its impact in terms of losses and formulation of an inventory of loss and an adequate mitigation strategy in the form of entitlements for those adversely affected. Apart from this, in-depth institutional arrangements, budget and monitoring & evaluation mechanisms are also laid out in the RP. ASK prepared the Resettlement Plans for a number of Projects ranging from sectors like transport – highways, rural roads and railways; power sector projects such as transmission lines, power plants etc and urban sector projects such as water supply, solid waste disposal, sewerage etc.
